Versailles is just a little west of Paris. Transportation by train is easy and the trains run very frequently.
What amazed me most about the tourist attractions like Versailles and other very old magnificent architectural creations is the prevalence of centuries old artwork in every room and in the gardens that is just hanging on the walls or out in the weather and not under glass or locked up or even guarded like it would be in the U. S.
